Q1: I use the Ktag very well for long time, but it ask to I to update today when I use it again, what shall I do?
A1: Please make sure disconnect the network when you use KTAG, you will get rid of this problem, do not update it, otherwise the device will be damaged.
Q2: Whether it is available to program EDC17 chip?
A2: Yes. K-tag is able to program this chip.
Q3: This interface is master or slave?
A3: It is master version
Q4: Can I use KTAG on Windows XP?
A4: KTAG is compatible with both Windows XP and WIN7, but not all WIN7 is workable, better use WIN7 professional
Q5: Whats's the difference between Ktag and KESS V2?
A5: KTAG and KESS V2 share the same software, but KESS V2 has OBD function (program ECU by OBD diagnostic cable) while KTAG doesn't have; Ktag can work on trucks, while KESS V2 can not.
Q6: Does KTAG ECU programmer have a limit number of times, only 32 and then throw it away?
A6: No, it has no limit you can always use it. But if you keep on giving ECU to write map file, then it has about 500 times limit. If your KTAG has a limit counter and the KTAG board is no gluing, please contact us we will send you chip for replacement, but there are two conditions to change chip:
1) it is our KTAG not from other sellers
2) you are required to know how to change the chip otherwise the KTAG will be damaged.
